I'll do what I always do with army games. I buy them, go "cool!" then get half through the campaign and get bored of it, try the multiplayer for about half an hour, and then trade the game in.

Turk, I'm pretty much the same way, but I played enough of the last 2 games to warrant at least giving this a try. When it comes down to it, though, I'll probably wind up with a ps3 this holiday season before I go buying a bunch more 360 games
Frankly I can see Forza keeping me busy until Christmas, easy. I only play in little spurts now because I'm so busy, and Forza is so stupidly massive (and stupidly fun) that I can see myself raping it for months. Raping it HARD.
But it doesn't live up to the standards of Mario Kart standards. How can you play knowing that?

When is Fallout: New Vegas coming out? Besides Diablo 3, it's the only game I'm really looking forward too. And it'll probably be coming out first too.

It's irking me in my current free time that I had free Live Arcade access for a year, yet only really played Trials HD and Quake Live some. I regret not taking better advantage of it, but I guess I couldn't be bothered at the time.

I've been playing the shit out of Forza 3, but I'm also enjoying the little that I have been playing The Ballad of Gay Tony. I loved GTA 3, but Lost and the Damned characters annoyed me and I never really cared what happened. The atmosphere and main characters in this one are a lot more likable, and it's pretty rockin'
I agree, I like Tony as the main mission-giver. And it's a better relationship than just 'you're in thrall to this guy and have to do everything you're told', although of course there still has to be elements of that.
As fun as the new weapons are - much better than TLaD's additions I think - I think it's the club stuff I find most memorable. The minigames are actually pretty awesome; among other things you can do a gay dance-off with a guy in Hercules and it's hilarious.

I've finally made the move from AT to MT in Forza as a regular thing. It's not as bad as I was thinking, I'm just not very good in crowds. That could probably be said of my driving despite the transmission, though. Much better with just me and the road.
On the other hand, I've been at Pole Position a bit lately getting some of the top times of the week, which is much more exhilarating (and expensive).

Awesome game. I'm pretty decent at music games, so after the tutorial levels, I tried Easy, then Medium, and finally started the 'career' of the game on Hard. After one week I have beaten the game, and am now starting over on Expert. My favorite thing about these music games is that going up a difficulty level actually changes the game, instead of just making it harder. In DJ hero, you can scratch however you want on Hard, but when you switch to Expert, you have to time your scratching with specific arrows.
As for a review, it is EXCELLENT, but not as a party game. I think its the best and most fun single player music gaje experience, beacuse on Expert it actually feels like you're controlling the music. It's also great that all of the mixes are new, and its good hip-hop/dance/pop music. It really is a fun game, and it just makes it SOO much better if you can blast the music while you play.
The major downfall I have is the set-up. There's not really a menu screen. The game starts you with a list of sets, and you complete them as you go. You press start or select to get to the options screen, and that's about it. There's no actual career or anything. Kind of disappointed there after the nice set-up of the Rock Band games. And I am sad that the 'Hero' games tend to have a shit ton less DLC than the Rock Band games. Also, one more negative point, only 11 of the songs are compatible with the Guitar. And all of those songs seem kind of tacked on, and not as fun as the DJ only mixes.
But overall, very fun, excellent game. If you like music games a lot, it's worth the money. I'd give it a 9.0.

I'm hoping to score a used copy of DJ Hero before too long. $120 still seems high with the plethora of good games coming out
Yeah with MW2 and AC2 coming out next week and the week after I don't foresee dropping $10 for a game that would end up just taking up more space except during parties.

You suck in crowds because the AI in Forza is a bunch of cocksucking blocker bitches who will run you off the road at the first opportunity.
Play online with some decent drivers, and you'll be surprised at how much easier passing/running close to other drivers is.

I have strange anxiety issues with racing online, though. My nerves go all hyper on me and I can't drive a smooth line to save my life. It's retarded, really.
I forget; do you get a typical MT option as well as the clutch control one? I seem to remember there being three options in the demo - AT, MT, and MT with clutch.
It took a bit of getting used to but I liked that it worked, and that they'd taken the trouble to implement it.
