I think I've mentioned this before, but there was a public outrage here when a cable channel bought the rights to the Canadiens games, as opposed to SRC (french version of CBC, a network). Finally the cable channel compromised, and allowed the SRC to show the Saturday night games. 

Wirtz did lay some crap down this year that if the Hawks go to the playoffs he won't blackout the games. That guy is such a douchebag. My father was on a waiting list for years for Hawks season tickets and was due up the year Wirtz took over and my dad removed his name from the list.

It's sad to see an original six franchise run that way... especially now when the league really needs to reconnect with its fans. How strong is the fan base in Chicago? Is it along the lines of Montreal/Toronto/Detroit where there's no serious worries about the fans coming back, or are people too fed up with it all?
