So, seeing as how training camps are kicking in and guys in pads and helmets are making their way back to the sports pages, I'm amping myself up for football season again. Yays. I'm hoping the Bears do better than last year, and it has everything to do with their new-kid quarterback, who hopefully can stay healthy for more than 3 games this year.

I'm also looking forward to ordering shitty pizza at noon on sundays, drinking pitchers at the bar, and the inevitable half-time buffet. Those chicken wings they have in the crock pot are the best.

Not hard.

Of course this is coming from a long-time, die-hard, very bitter Giants fan.

Well, if they go through 19 quarterbacks like they did last year, they might be lucky to get 2 wins.

I like to hang out at Packer bars and cheer at the wrong time, so everyone knows I'm the enemy.

I'm a big time Chiefs fan. Hoping the defense can come together quickly. Lots of new names this year.

Hopefully Priest will be able to last the season. I think he'll split more time with Larry Johnson...think that will help him stay healthy.

I am a Pat's fan. But, I think this will be a tough season. Teddy Bruschi out for the season due to his stroke he suffered. That sucked totally. I hope he can just live a normal life, let alone play football again. Ted Johnson retired because of to many concussions recieved playing football. Romeo Crennel gone to Cleveland, and Charlie Wiess gone to the College ranks...

I know that Bill Belichek knows his stuff, but I would be hard pressed to think that the Patriots will 3-peat.... BUT, you never know. Should be an interesting year.

You think it was a coincidence that the PATRIOTs won after 9/11?

Rams will be better this year. Beefed up the defense. Jackson will be the starting back with Faulk as a 3rd down/recieving back. O-line more solidified so Bulger doesn't spend so much time on his back or get too hurried and throw to the wrong color jersey. Just hope the rookies and the free agents we got on D work out. Unfortunately no real improvement that I saw to the special teams unit which was either the worst or close to it in the league last year.

Go Rams! and the Chargers cause I live in San Diego.

Hate to say your Defense again will be bottom 10 this year, even with Gunther having another season under his belt. The offense though should light up the scoreboard and win a lot of games.

The Donks will be just as good both offense and defense this year, but I'm thinking the D Line might falter and the defense will lose them some games.

AFC West finishes out like this

Broncos 9-7
Chiefs 9-7

Yeah there are always front runners when a team goes to the superbowl a couple times in a few years... it's like the Pats now tons of fans and not just in New England/Boston.

I've been a Rams fan since I was a kid when they were the LA Rams and I used to live 15-20 minutes from anehiem stadium where they actually played. Back in the Jim Everett and Eric Dickerson days when there wasn't much going for them but they were the home team. When they left CA we only had the raiders left in town and I didn't dig on them that much but they were my only "home team" but then they went back to Oakland so I decided the Rams were my team from that point on. Now that I live in San Diego the Chargers are second to the Rams in my book but since they are in different conferences it's all good. My third would be the steelers simply because my wife is from pittsburg and if you know pittsburgers it doesn't matter if they even like football they are die-hard steeler fans it's bizarre.

Apologies for the lengthy disertation on my football fan loyalties... I kinda got carried away.
